Wow. It has been a while.
Updated: Apr 21
It has been so long since I posted anything on my blog. I want to apologize for not keeping up with my interviews and reviews. A lot has happened since the last time I posted last. I had my surgery back on July 29th. During that time, I did not realize that I was getting sick. My body was fighting the coronavirus before I realized that was what was happening to me. I thought I was just nervous from the impending surgery. Turns out, I had covid. During the next few weeks of recovery from surgery, I also was trying to get better. I had two issues tackling my body at once and to be honest a book was the furthest thing from my mind. Fast forward to now, I am healthy, and my energy has been restored. I do get winded still walking a lot or dealing with extreme cold. I should have been hospitalized, and on paper you would have thought I would have been. I have had pneumonia twice in my lifetime and I also suffer from asthma. You guys I am lucky to be here. I refused to allow the virus to instill fear into my lungs, and cause panic throughout my body. I know that with panic comes a fast heartbeat, which means blood tries to pump faster. Breathing can become harder, and I knew that would only make me worse. I also made sure to keep food or some sort of nutrients in my system whether I felt like eating or now. I basically drank soup for the 14 days of sickness I endured. (I still cannot look at that can of beef vegetable soup without getting queasy.)
I am feeling a TON better, and I am ready to get back into the swing of things. I have had a new perspective on my life, and I hope to express that within my writing here and my projects. During my absence I have learned a lot about photography, and how to self-publish my own book. I have written my first Children’s Picture book and I cannot wait to share that information with you! My homeschooling journey has also begun again and both children have decided to come home to learn once more. I am gearing up to teach them with a new profound sense of self and assuredness. Before I was very insecure, and I lacked the ability to teach fully due to my fears. Since being sick and going through my own mental health issues, I find that life can be so much more than the small things we surround ourselves with. I intend on helping my children learn and grow here at home and sharing those tips and ideas with you!
I am seeking more Indie Authors for interviews for the year 2022! I am looking for Children’s book Authors and Middle Grade Authors!
I will host Book reviews as well for those of the same genre for FREE! I love supporting my fellow Authors and artists.
I would also like to give YA Authors a slot and one or two adult fantasy/thriller authors too.
If you qualify for any of these spots, please email me @Amandatheblogwitch@gmail.com or message me on Instagram @Amanda_Theblogwitch
I want to thank all of you for your endless support and kindness. I cannot wait to see what this new year holds. 2022 will be the year I publish a book and write more! IT will be the year that I take full advantage of my life and spread the magic with you!
